Know God’s Word? I hope so. Why? Let me tell you. If you know God’s Word you’ll be able to distinguish right from wrong and truth from lies. Unfortunately, even in the church, men find ways of hiding God’s Word behind traditions and philosophies. In time the Gospel gets lost. Faith in Jesus alone is replaced by all manner of nonsense that makes not the slightest bit of difference. People believe they’re saved because they were baptised as a baby. People believe they’re saved because they go to Mass and confess to a priest. People believe they’re saved because they’re Catholic or Mormon or Baptist. Utter nonsense and without any sound basis. How do I know this? I know this because I read God’s Word.

God’s Word points me to faith in Jesus. God’s Word steers me in the right direction.

God’s Word helps me hear the truth from the lies, and prevents me from wandering off the straight and narrow. Know God’s Word? I really do hope so.
